OUR SERVICES
The water taxi is on call daily from 8am to 8pm and can be available additional hours with notice. We provide transportation between Petersburg’s Harbors and the Kupreanof State Dock, US Forest Service cabins, and other locations within the Frederick Sound and Petersburg region.

Recreation
- Drop-off / Pick-up locations within Wrangell Narrows and Frederick Sound including
- US Forest Service cabins in Thomas Bay and Portage Bay,
- and beach and trail access for kayaking, hiking, biking and beachcombing at locations including:
- Five Finger Islands/Lighthouse
- Cape Fanshaw
- Portage Bay
- Thomas Bay
- Point Agassiz
- We are not booking trips to:
- USFS cabins in Duncan Canal
- Transport big game hunters
- Operate fishing charters

Kelly Bakos
CAPTAIN
Owner/Operator Kelly Bakos is a USCG licensed captain. She has lived on or near the water since childhood and spent her early years sailing and diving from her family’s homeport on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Her love for cold, mountainous climates drew her to coastal Alaska, and she now lives year-round in Petersburg. In the non-summer months, Kelly is a wildlife filmmaker and runs a documentary film production company.
Jax
MATE
Jax is Kelly’s greeter, deckhand and mate. A true Alaskan mutt (malamute, retriever, lab, shepherd plus other breeds), he was born and rescued in Southeast Alaska. He loves cuddles, playtime, and shadowing Kelly throughout the day. Jax will happily share his treats and toys and tell you all about his day! DOGS & PETS
Friendly dogs are very welcome aboard (at the discretion of your captain). All dogs must be dry, leashed and well-behaved. Other pets are also allowed as long as they are contained in small, hand-held containers.
Our Boat
We operate a 24′ Weldcraft Ocean King outboard with the capacity to comfortably transport up to 6 guests plus gear and kayaks. With a welded aluminum hull and 250 HP Yamaha we can quickly and efficiently transport you around the Petersburg and Frederick Sound area.
